October Greetings

Dear Church,

As we step into a few months of our Open Theme, we’re filled with expectation for what God wants to do in and through our church family. We believe the Holy Spirit will bring unique, timely and faith-building words through our teaching team and special guests, speaking not only to us as a church, but for you and what you are facing right now. Go on, come open with a readiness to respond to all God has for us this spring.

If you missed our recent weekend announcements, we’d also love to share an important family update. Relocating and stepping into the leadership of C3 Monash five years ago has been one of the greatest joys and privileges of our lives. It has also stretched us in many wonderful ways. By 2027, James will have served 17 years in full-time pastoral ministry, and of course Tam and the girls have been a huge part of that journey.

We are deeply grateful for God’s faithfulness throughout every season and wanted to let you know that our family will be taking a period of leave over October and November. James will be taking a combination of Long Service Leave and Annual Leave from 5 October until 18 November, returning in time for our All Team Thank You Party Sunday 22nd Nov. Tam is also planning to take some annual leave and enjoy quieter Sundays with the family during this season. This time will provide an opportunity for us to slow down, invest in family, rest well and return refreshed and expectant for all God has ahead.

While we’re away, we’d love to ask for your support by continuing to be present in our Sunday gatherings, praying regularly for our church and leadership, continue being a people who see, who care and who trust. Invite guests for lunch, long linger after church, come early and help the team, sign up to the GroKids term 4 roster, pray for needs in the foyer, welcome first timers and love the regulars. 

We deeply thank you for this time to pause. Thank you to our Board, Staff and Leaders especially for your love, support and encouragement about this decision. We are so grateful for this church family and all that God is doing among us. We love you stacks and are excited for the season ahead.

Sunday Kids

Term 4 in GroKids, we’re continuing our journey through the Fruit of the Spirit, focusing on peace, patience, and kindness as we help our kids grow in their faith and understanding of Jesus’ love.

Interested in joining the GroKids team? We’d love to chat! Speak with Pastors Chelsea or Liam on a Sunday to find out more. 😊

We run our GroKids Junior (ages 2 -5) and GroKids Primary (grades K-6) during the service on Gathered Sundays of the school term. During this 45-minute session kids play, pray and learn creatively from God’s word. 

Friday Youth

Calling all the cooks in the house! As we look ahead to Term 4, we are after a few more evenings  to help with cooking for Youth. If you’d like to help, or would like to know more about ways you can get involved at Youth, reach out to Ps Jacelle

Summit 🔥30–31 October | C3 Belconnen
Summit is a C3 Youth Conference for Turning 12–Year 12, with live worship, guest speakers, breakout sessions, games, prizes and plenty more! Most importantly, it’s an opportunity for our young people to encounter God, create memories and build connections. We want every young person to be part of it! 🙌 Register Now. 

Our Youth Team are passionate about helping young people make good friends, good choices and grow to know a good God who has created them with a purpose for their life. Friday nights are full of fun and connection!

Youth gather Friday nights Week 2-10 of school terms from 6:30-8:30pm.

C3 Cares – Pantry & Midweek Service   

C3 Cares Service gathers at 1030am on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month for morning tea, fellowship along with worship and communion. On the fourth Thursday of each month we also offer pantry item pick up for those in need. We look forward to continuing to share these meaningful moments together as we serve and connect with our community.

Home Church

Midweek Playtime

9:30am-11:30am Wednesday mornings during ACT school terms. It’s the perfect opportunity to play, create and have some fun with your bubs to pre-school aged children, while connecting over a cuppa with other parents, grandparents and carers.

Connect Group

Our groups keep us connected to Jesus and His community by helping people to build relationships and centralise fellowship around our joint relationship with Jesus, creating community where new and existing congregation members can be known and cared for. They cause us to grow to be more like Jesus, through communal discipleship, providing a space for people to share, ask questions and grow in their spiritual formation. They provide regular spaces to pray with one another and encourage each other in how we are reaching others with God’s love.

Young Adults

Young Adults from our high school graduates through to ~mid twenties gather regularly for Home Church, Connect Groups and events including monthly Sunday Lunch hangs. 

The Young Adults of C3 Monash also make for a vibrant addition to our volunteer team.
